Terms of Reference for Dialogue Track Officer

Overview of the Position

The short-term consultant will work as an Addis Ababa-based Intra-Oromo Dialogue Track Officer for the Berghof Foundation project on “Supporting multi-track dialogue in Ethiopia” funded by the German Federal Foreign Office.

• Location: Addis Ababa
• Duration: Up to 6 working days per dialogue cluster
  • 2 days for preparation/documentation
  • Up to 4 days for facilitating a working group
• Scope: Possibility of replication for dialogues on the remaining three thematic clusters

Qualifications

Applicants shall demonstrate that they fulfil the following criteria:

Required:

• Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., gender studies, peace and conflict studies, political science, or equivalent profession)
• At least three (3) years of relevant work experience in dialogue processes and capacity-building programs
• Firm understanding of financial and logistical requirements (a plus)
• Strong networking skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders
• Sound knowledge of the Ethiopian context
• Excellent verbal and written language skills in Amharic and English

Additional Skills:

• Strong communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work under time pressure
• Curiosity, passion, and perseverance
