Junior Intern, Finance (Addis Ababa, Ethiopia)


About the Job

About the Position

The Junior Intern will assist the Finance department in various tasks, gaining practical experience and exposure to the day-to-day operations of the organization. This internship is ideal for recent graduates looking to develop their skills in a professional environment.


Key Responsibilities

The intern will assist with the following tasks:

  • Documentation Support: Organize and maintain financial documents, ensuring they are up-to-date and easily accessible.
  • Scan and store financial documents provided.
  • Assist in the preparation and filing of financial reports and documentation for audit.
  • Assist in the execution of other departmental tasks as assigned.

About You

Education

  • Recent graduate with a degree in accounting or a related field.

Skills

  • Basic understanding of financial principles and practices.
  • Strong ability using computer scanners and related electronic materials.
  • Ability to use computer software.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Working Conditions

  • The intern is expected to work from 8 AM - 4 PM, Monday to Friday.

Other/General

  • Understand and uphold the standards outlined in the Hope for Justice Safeguarding policies, acting with due care and attention to safeguard the well-being of anyone that meets our work and reporting concerns if they arise.
